Favorite Session

On Friday, Andrea Hester, from The Arizona Republic gave a session on Advanced InDesign. By far, this has been my favorite session.

I absolutely love InDesign and tend to use it more than Microsoft Word. However, I find that a lot of students are wanting to go further to use little tricks on the designs. This session was great for that.

I liked how she showed us how to put a picture behind the words to bring new life to the words. I think however, I'd generally put a stroke around the lettering to add more of an impact. I can't wait to go back and show little tips like these to my students.

The only thing that I wish is that my current/former students could have been in on this session with me, they would have loved it.
