Staff organization can be, well, organized!

Aaron Manfull's presentation covered many helpful aspects of using technology, getting your newspaper online and promotion, but one thing that stood out to me the most was the way he organized his staff.

I've always had an editor-in-chief (in title, anyway) and page editors, but it hasn't really meant much. The organization didn't lend itself to creating a smooth, seamless publication process.

But after seeing Aaron's organization and seeing all that Alan's done for his program, I'm inspired to reorganize my staff and help things to run smoothly. Both Aaron and Alan gave us some super helpful tips and have also made themselves and their resources available to us, so I know my goal for next year can be met.

  1. What I loved about both presentations was that the organization styles they showed were practical. I've struggled with organization and timelines for publication, but I now have great ideas.
