Frank LoMonte, executive director of the Student Press Law Center, has sent many of the Reynolds fellows back to the drawing board. In the first half of his session he touted the SPLC website, www.splc.org. There is a whole section of teacher resources that have many of us rethinking our lessons on student press law. There are full lesson plans as well as power points, videos, handouts and quizzes. Looks like we have our homework for the rest of the summer.

Add this homework to all of the other fantastic websites we have to investigate, resources to consult, and books to read, we'll need a year just to digest what gifts we have been given.

This is a great website! I already utilize it in my classroom. There are so many court cases too for the students to look at. I usually give a group a court case to argue using the precedents set in previous court cases.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to know this organization has our back too! There are a lot of awesome resources on this site.
