Hello from Pennsylvania!

Hi everyone!

I'm Bridget Freiler, and I teach at a public high school of approximately 1,200 students in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. I graduated with a degree in English in 2008 and have been teaching in Pottsville ever since. It was my good fortune to have the opportunity to spend my first two years as a teacher observing the previous publications adviser while also teaching several English classes. At the end of last year, the previous adviser retired, so the 2010-2011 school year was my first on my own! I advised the newspaper, yearbook, literary art magazine, district-wide newsletter, and postings of our newspaper to the school district web site.

While I've certainly enjoyed the past year of advising the publications on my own, as we all know, it is a challenging job! I'm very excited about attending the institute and learning more about areas where I'm not so comfortable right now. I can't wait to bring back all of my new knowledge to share with my students! I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and working with you over the next couple of weeks!

  2. Bridget,
I won't have newspapers to share (take home) with anyone, but here is our newspaper's website and mine. We have our last two years archived on the site.
