Wow, has it only been three days? We have learned so much that I think I have at least two full weeks of instruction for my students when I get back (8 hours a day)!
The evening sessions were very interesting. Although I team taught broadcast journalism with another teacher who knows the technical side of things, I really didn't get a chance to learn it myself this past year. I watched the kids plenty of times and viewed their videos (so can do some simple stuff like turn up the volume and fade in/out, etc.) but I never actually sat down to a computer and did the work myself until tonight. I found that it wasn't that difficult. There were a few times that I wasn't sure what I had done, but I figured it out pretty quickly or just hit "undo" and it was gone.
I am really looking forward to the ethics discussion as I have several questions about things my students have been doing. This has been very worthwhile so far and I can't wait to learn more!
