Don't fear the edit

As I sit and work on the story that will be posted later today, I had the chance to reflex on the editing we did this week.

Now I am talking about both the editing involving paper and the editing involving video footage.

So many times in the classroom the students rush to finsh the assignment without thinking of the all the artful elements that make what we do worthwhile for the audience. Perhaps it is the age of those we teach.

Well next year we are going to create quality and not necessarily quantity with our publication. I want them to look back and feel pride about what they are producing.
