It's hard for me to believe that ASNE President Ken Paulson (see the video above) addressed us less than a week ago. Here are some panorama shots as we reflect on week one:
Arizona Republic news meeting
Learning about Gannett's Phoenix-based regional design center.
Kicking off with Ken Paulson (sorry about the ghost images generated by the panorama software).
Diamondbacks game before dark.
Diamondbacks game after dark.
Have a great weekend. Thanks for your attention and hard work.

It has been an amazing and extremely informative time. I, truly, needed this. I feel grateful for this opportunity.

ReplyDeleteIn reflection, this first week has been an incredible experience and I am very appreciative to be learning so much so quickly. Having joined the institute without a strong background in journalism, I am finding the rigor to be both invigorating and exhausting at the same time. I look forward to next week with great anticipation and excitement.
ReplyDeleteThank you to everyone who has contributed to making this experience outstanding!

wow awesome pics!
ReplyDeleteThe Institute has provided me with so much useful, practical and outstanding information I can take back to my classroom and put into effect as soon as the new school year begins. I have also gained great insight from my fellow Institute attendees and am thankful for their knowledge and expertise in various areas. I think I have learned more here in one week than I learned in the entire year of my credential program. Bring on next week!

I was able to spend the morning reflecting on what I have learned and what I can bring back to my students. I feel the sessions have offered enough exposure to the various aspects of news production that I can pursue them for further development when I return to school or over the remaining summer. At no time have I felt overwhelmed with any specific session; a great balance of instruction and application.
