In the McDonald's where we bought cold drinks, the entire staff was composed of Native Americans and a sign explained that the prices were higher so that the restaurant could help house the workers, who otherwise could not afford to live in the area. Way to go Mickey Dees!
Other highlights of the trip were, of course, the Canyon, which we all agreed is indescribable, dinner at an Amish restaurant (really), and the ride itself where we seemed to spend more time laughing than talking. Thank you Dave, Brian, Bridget, Amber, JoAnn and Linsie for a great time!
