Yesterday was a day that I experienced the heat of Phoenix. We spent nearly two hours in the sun filming our project for the Institute, scampering to interview children and adults as they gave us tips on how to stay out of the Arizona heat. The day ending with a walk to Chase Field to see the Diamondbacks take on the Giants and win in an extra inning.
The stadium was fascinating. It was 80 degrees inside but when the game started, they opened up the roof and stadium promptly heated up. That was fascinating to watch and feel. We had excellent seats and helped ourselves to as many hot dogs, chips, peanuts and sodas as we could consume. It was a great day and a great bonding experience with my fellow Institute members. I'm looking forward to even a better weekend!
