Day one

There were several sessions I LOVED today, but the first one on first amendment rights was a fabulous way to start.  I am inspired to change the first few days of my J1 class so that we are jumping in with both feet right from the beginning.   3% of Americans can identify the five freedoms of the first amendment is scary...  and the fact that 40% of Americans  think there are too many freedoms in the first amendment is even scarier.
Certainly I feel empowered and inspired...  what a great way to feel after the first day.  Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow.

  1. Day one alone gave me a multitude of ideas in which to use not only with my journalism class but my English classes as well. I tend to focus on writing and dealing with 1st amendment issues will be an eye opener.

  2. I loved reading about day one on day two! I don't want to forget any of the wonderful things we have been seeing! I don't remember being engaged like this when I was in school. I hope to take my notes from Ken's presentation and make a student version.
